Weaving the past

All day
Duration: 2 hours

Target audience: 3rd–4th Grade of Primary School

Among the objects produced by the inhabitants of pile-dwellings, archaeologists found containers made by weaving vegetable fibres. After learning about the history of the site and the pile-dwelling lifestyle, participants create a small basket on a cardboard base by weaving raffia, using the same technique.
